I wanna wake up in a city that doesn't sleep

I'll be in New York in may, from 2nd 'till 11th. See you there?

Portrait of Fiona by the most talented Petra Innanen

I was really honoured when my friend Petra asked me to model for her. She is a very talented artist and one of the nicest people i've ever known. I really like this painting because of the colours, shapes, lights and shadows..and it's a picture of my atelier, my favourite place in the whole world.
It's huge by the way. Go and see for yourself-> Bulevardin Taidesalonki, Helsinki.

I'm not saying i'm the only person in the world who has those quotes here but still.

Sad and Beautiful, Abandoned Theaters From Around The USA

These photos leave me speechless really.. So beautiful places, amazing architecture. I would love to visit all those places! Abandoned buildings fascinate and scare me.
How can something so beautiful be abandoned and let to rot?
Was it the tv?
We don't really have places like these in Finland. First of all, i think we've never had this many beautiful theatres even if you count all the beautiful thetres in the history on Finland and second, when a building is not in use anymore it's demolished pretty fast.

But there is hope! The article where these pics are from, was commented by a person who is involved in a project to restore an old theatre that was built in 1911. Check out their website and learn more about this wonderful project!

Greta Garbo featured in the new edition of 100-kronor bill in Sweden

"Movie icons Greta Garbo and Ingmar Bergman are among the late Swedish celebrities who will adorn new editions of bank notes in the Scandinavian country. Sweden's Central Bank says Stockholm-born Garbo, one of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses in the 1920s and '30s, will feature on the new edition of the 100-kronor bill to enter circulation in 2014-2015."

I can't wait to see the new bill!

Hill Of Crosses, Lithuania

Hill Of Crosses from 125 Magazine on Vimeo.

Director - Nina Merikallio
Cinematographer - Janis Skulme
Style - Suvi-Elina Enqvist
Hair& Makeup - Tom Wennerstrand
On this video you can see Mert Otsamo´s: Latex dress and white scarf jacket.

I've actually been to that place years ago when i was in Lithuania. I took part to a exchange program in our school (of arts and design) and went to Lithuania to study for a while. I really liked that country and the people were the nicest! I'm going back someday.

What is the Hill of Crosses? This is what wikipedia says: "In 1795, Lithuania became part of the Russian Empire. Poles and Lithuanians unsuccessfully rebelled against Russian authorities in 1831 and 1863. These two uprisings are connected with the beginnings of the hill: as families could not locate bodies of perished rebels, they started putting up symbolic crosses in place of a former hill fort."
But i've also heard a story about a man who was very sick. He asked god to heal him, and if god would heal him, the man promised to built a cross in his honour on that hill. And the man got better and better and one day he was all healed. And he buit that cross, and after that came others with crosses. And if you buy a cross (yes, there are lots of people selling crosses for tourists...) and leave it there and make a wish, it might come true. I think that story of a sick man making a wish in a sertain place is pretty universal.
Read more about this beautiful place in "Sacred Sites" (lots of pics in secred sites too) or in wikipedia.
